Battle for supremacy as Champions League stars take on African medalists in the ‘SPECIAL EDITION’

The Boxing Champions League special Edition will see the Bombers team fresh from the Africa Elite Boxing Championships battle for Olympics qualifiers slots with the champions League stars in week 8.

The Champions League week 8 is an elimination battle for who will feature on the Bombers team that will prepare for the 2024 Olympics qualifiers in Darkar Senegal in the coming month of September.

“The Boxing Champions League round eight returns at Club Obligato as we are going to have eliminations for the Olympics qualifiers which will be held in Darkar Senegal in the month of September. We are going to have very intense battles dubbed as ‘Vva Ku nyonyi’ as you may call it with boxers fighting for national team slots.” Said Mitchell

“I would like to call upon each and everyone that enjoys the game of boxing not to miss out on the Saturday fights as they be so much exciting with the winners being named on the team that will travel to Senegal.” She added 

The main fight of the night will see the 2022 AFBC bronze medalist battle for his place against Murungi Kassim who failed to replicate the same fate as he lost in his first fight at continental level on the Elite Feather weight.

Murungi a student at City High School will have to prove his worth whether he deserves a slot on the Bombers team as he will face a Kyobe who is abit experienced.

After failing to match up the competition from Matovu Ukasha in the light middle weight, Kibira Owen has now upped his weight to face new competition as he will now battle in the welterweight where he will now face Isaac Zebra Ssenyange Junior for a slot at the Bombers team.

Ssenyange who is fresh from featuring in a music video by Sheebah Karungi is confident of securing a slot at the national team as he sees no match up with someone who has been in a weight below him.

“Kibira is a brilliant boxers but we have found ourselves competing in the same weight after he him movin a weight above, he has been competing in light middle 67 kgs nad we shall now battle in the welterweight 71kgs.”

“As a person I am confident of a better performance after having a lot of preparation working on my strength and weaknesses. It won’t be that easy but I know I am going to cone out victorious.” Said Isaac Zebra Junior.

Kibira Owen has confidently vowed to our place Isaac who has been so dominant in the welterweight despite him facing new opponents.

“It is not Abit effective to me as I am good at making weights, moving from light middle to welterweight was so easy but only that I will be facing new opponents who use a different style of play but as a person I am well prepared to face any challenge.” Said Kibira Owen
