FUFA Super 8: KCCA FC, URA FC game called off to mourn Coach Timbe

The Federation of Uganda Football Association Competitions Department has confirmed the calling off of FUFA Super 8 tournament Semifinal game between KCCA FC and URA FC.

This follows the bad incidence that happened yesterday evening of the death of URA’s head coach Sam Timbe.

FUFA confirmed the development on their official Twitter page as below.

” FUFA Competitions Department has postponed the FUFA Super 8 Semifinal match between KCCA FC and URA FC that was scheduled for Sunday, 20th August 2023″.

” The decision has been made to allow URA FC and the entire Football Fraternity to honour and pay their last respects to coach Sam Timbe who passed on Saturday evening “.

“A new date on which the game will be played shall be confirmed later”.

” We continue to send our commiserations to the family, friends, URA FC, and the football Fraternity at large” the confirmation concludes.

The FUFA Semi final game between KCCA and URA was staged to be there on Sunday 20th but new date will be confirmed by the FUFA Competitions Committee.
