Raising the Bar: CAF Highlights Stadium Infrastructure Upgrades at the CAF Stadium Inspector’s Workshop in Rabat
Investing in football infrastructure across Africa, including the construction and upkeep of stadiums within the 54 CAF Member Associations, has remained a central strategic focus for the leadership of CAF.
Moreover, as African football continues to attract unprecedented global attention, particularly following the resounding success of the TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations held in Cote d’Ivoire, CAF has initiated a significant endeavor: the CAF Stadium Inspectors Workshop at the prestigious Mohammed VI Sports Complex in Rabat, Morocco.
This workshop aims to equip candidates with the necessary skills to monitor and evaluate stadium infrastructure across the African continent.
The workshop commenced under the auspices of Mr. Fouzi Lekjaa, President of the Fédération Royale Marocaine de Football (FRMF) and a distinguished member of the CAF Executive Committee.
Mr. Lekjaa emphasized the critical importance of investing in top-tier infrastructure and ensuring its maintenance.
Focused on several key areas, including the regulatory framework for CAF stadiums, stadium inspection protocols, pitch quality assessment, lighting evaluations, safety and security measures, and media facilities, the workshop underscores CAF’s commitment to upholding international standards in stadium management.
