In a grand display of sporting excellence, the stage is set for the highly awaited 2024 Uganda Secondary Schools Sports Association (USSSA) Ankole Zone Football Championship, scheduled to kick off in Ibanda district on the 10th of April, 2024.

This football extravaganza will see a record-breaking participation of 64 schools from diverse districts, including Mbarara City, Ntungamo, Ibanda, Bushenyi, Kazo, Isingiro, Buhweju, and Kiruhura, coming together for a battle of skill, teamwork, and glory.

Group G promises an epic clash as favorites Welden School, hailing from the vibrant city of Mbarara, finds itself pitted against formidable opponents such as Kaaro High School, Nombe SS, and Bugarama High School.

With their eyes set on the championship title, these teams will leave no stone unturned in their quest for victory.

Meanwhile, Group I poses a thrilling challenge as Nyakera United, led by the experienced coach Muhammed Ssekeba, prepares to face the mighty trio of Buremba S.S, St Peter’s Katukuru, and Al Noor.

The fiery matches and tactical battles that will ensue in this group are bound to captivate spectators and test the mettle of these talented young players.

The battles in Group A will be nothing short of captivating as Western region giants Ryakasinga CHE from Rukungiri district lock horns with Kinoni High School, Nakivale S.S, and Peas Aspire High School.
