A triumphant comeback: Kundananji inspires Bay FC’s first win in six matches

Racheal Kundananji, the dynamic forward of Copper Queens, showcased her prowess with a decisive interception in the final minutes, leading Bay FC to a much-needed victory in the National Women’s Soccer League.

After enduring a frustrating five-match losing streak, Bay FC found solace when Kyra Carusa scored a brilliant goal in the 23rd minute, giving them an early lead against San Diego Wave.

However, the Wave fought back as Scarlett Camberos found the back of the net in the 55th minute, setting the stage for a thrilling finish.

Kundananji had other plans as she seized the opportunity in the 87th minute, unleashing a shot that deflected off Hanna Lundkvist and secured Bay FC’s first win in over a month.

The elation among the team and their loyal fans was palpable, as this victory breathed new life into their campaign and reignited their drive for success.
