Angolan Midfielder Gui to Exit KCCA FC

It was the beginning of the just concluded season when Gui, an Angolan native, embarked on a new chapter in his football career by joining the thirteen-time champions of the Uganda Premier League, KCCA FC.

In a deal that spanned two years, Gui’s arrival sparked optimism among fans and pundits alike.

However, fresh reports now indicate a parting of ways between the player and the club.

Gui first donned the colors of KCCA FC under the guidance of their former head coach, Sergio Traguil.

However, with the current reign of Abdallah Mubiru, Gui’s services are believed to be surplus to the team’s requirements.

Thus, an unexpected turn of events has cut short Gui’s journey with KCCA FC.

Before his time at KCCA FC, Gui had made his mark in Angolan football, representing respected clubs such as Club 1 De Agosto, C.R.D. Libolo, Progresso, and GD Interclube.

These experiences have undoubtedly shaped his skills and style as a central midfielder, and his presence added depth to KCCA FC’s lineup.

Despite the separation from Gui, KCCA FC has wasted no time in strategizing for the upcoming season.

The club has successfully secured the services of Steven Munguchi, a talented midfielder from Gaddafi FC, as well as the exciting left-footed winger, Shafik Nana Kwikiriza, from BUL FC.

These additions exemplify KCCA FC’s commitment to strengthening their squad.

Moreover, KCCA FC has ensured the continuity of their goalkeeping department by extending the contract of Mutwalib Mugolofa.

The reliable shot-stopper has signed on for an additional two years, instilling confidence in the team’s defensive line.

KCCA FC had a commendable performance last season, finishing fifth in the Uganda Premier League standings with a total of 49 points.

Their journey in the Stanbic Uganda Cup, however, came to an end at the quarterfinal stage.

With the new signings in place and a determined mindset, KCCA FC is ready to push for success and surpass their previous achievements in the upcoming campaign.
