Yanga SC Vows to Bolster Squad with “Great Signings” for New Season

Fresh off their 2023/24 Premier League triumph, Tanzanian giants Young Africans (Yanga SC) are poised for a busy transfer window.

Head coach Miguel Gamondi is at the helm, leading the charge to fortify the team’s attack and defense in preparation for the upcoming season.

Yanga’s dominance extends beyond the domestic league, as they’ll represent Tanzania alongside Azam FC (one of the nation’s wealthiest clubs) in the prestigious CAF Champions League.

Club Information Officer Ally Kamwe acknowledges the immense effort required to build a team capable of excelling at the highest levels.

“We will make great signings,” Kamwe declared, as quoted by the Guardian.

He emphasizes the importance of a strong squad to maintain their position as the best. “Everything is on the work plan,” he continued, highlighting the meticulous approach to team building. “Our goal is to ensure we are strong for the new season.

The more fans support us, the greater our achievements will be,” he added, underlining the crucial role of fan support in the club’s success.

Yanga’s ambition for the upcoming season is clear: to retain their Premier League title and achieve a deeper run in the CAF Champions League.

While reaching the quarter-finals last season was commendable, they aspire to surpass that feat and make a significant impact on the continental competition.
