Ugandan Mixed Martial Artist (MMA) Titus Tugume’s recent US sojourn wasn’t just about sharpening his fighting skills.
The accomplished athlete, who also serves in the Ugandan Air Forces, spent four months in Orlando, Florida, training under the guidance of MMA experts.
But Tugume’s dedication extends beyond the ring.
He volunteered with the “Gloves On, Guns Down” program, a youth outreach initiative that uses martial arts to steer young people away from violence.
This social responsibility reflects Tugume’s well-rounded personality as a fighter and a mentor.
