Uganda Premier League facet Vipers SC have written to the Federation of Uganda Soccer Associations (FUFA) demanding the rescheduling of their postponed league match towards Kitara FC.
The fixture, initially scheduled for Saturday 4th October 2025 at Mandela Nationwide Stadium, was not performed after Vipers failed to point out up in protest of the brand new league format that FUFA had launched on the time. The format was later suspended, prompting Vipers to query why their match stays unresolved.
Of their letter, Vipers protested the Competitions Committee’s continued silence on the matter, stating:
“Vipers SC is now writing to formally protest the continued failure of the Competitions Committee to pronounce itself on the standing of our postponed fixture towards Kitara FC that had been scheduled for Saturday 4th October, 2025. Regardless of a number of inquiries, the Federation’s silence has moved from a procedural delay to a direct menace to the sporting integrity of the league.”
The membership argued that the suspension of Rules 14.4 and 14.12 invalidated the premise underneath which the league was working on the time, including:
“By FUFA’s personal subsequent motion suspending these very laws the Federation has admitted that the authorized foundation underneath which the league was working at the moment is not relevant.”
Vipers additional warned towards leaving the fixture unresolved, saying:
“It’s subsequently logically and legally inconsistent for the Federation to droop the above laws abandoning the proposed new league format and revert to the previous format whereas concurrently leaving our fixture in ‘limbo’.”
The Venoms additionally complained that FUFA’s failure to reply to their communications “isn’t solely unprofessional however has occasioned sporting prejudice to Vipers Sports activities Membership.”
Vipers are demanding that the match be rescheduled and have sought assurance that no forfeiture or walkover shall be thought-about. The membership has given FUFA till 4th January 2026 to resolve the matter.
