Sarah Storey added to her haul of worldwide titles on an important day for Nice Britain’s Para-riders on the 2024 Street and Para-cycling World Championships in Switzerland.
The 46-year-old beat British team-mate Morgan Newberry, 25, into second place to retain her girls’s C5 street race title in Zurich on Saturday.
Fran Brown claimed gold as the one rider within the C1 class, whereas fellow GB rider Daphne Schrager gained a dash for silver within the C2 race through which team-mate Amelia Cass completed fourth.
Belgium’s Lotte Kopecky devoted her win within the elite girls’s street race to Swiss rider Muriel Furrer, who died from head accidents sustained in a crash throughout the girls’s junior street race on Thursday.
