Stanbic Financial institution Uganda has introduced the appointment of Mumba Kenneth Kalifungwa as the brand new Chief Government and by extension, a member of the Board of Administrators, efficient March 1, 2025. This appointment follows required regulatory approvals.
Mumba brings almost 30 years of post-qualification expertise, 20 of which have been within the banking sector, principally in senior management roles masking enterprise improvement, threat administration, technique formulation and finance technique in three African markets together with Botswana, Zambia, and for the final 5 years—Uganda.
Patrick Mweheire, Normal Financial institution Group’s Regional Chief Government for East Africa stated: “We’re delighted to welcome Mumba to the Normal Financial institution Group—particularly, to the Stanbic Financial institution Uganda group. His in depth expertise within the banking sector and understanding of this market, coupled along with his management experience, makes him ultimate to steer our enterprise in Uganda. Upon his appointment as incoming Chief Government, Mumba stated: “I’m happy with the chance to embark on this new problem. Along with the opposite leaders throughout the organisation, I’m trying ahead to constructing on the financial institution’s stable basis and contributing to the aim of driving Uganda’s progress, creating much more shared worth for all stakeholders.”
Mumba holds a grasp’s diploma in enterprise administration (MBA) from Herriot Watt College (Scotland) and is a Fellow of the Affiliation of Chartered Licensed Accountants (United Kingdom) and the Affiliation of Worldwide Licensed Skilled Accountants (AICPA, UK).
