Boxing Champions League: Ssemuddu targets jaw breaking in fight against Kasujja

The Uganda Boxing Champions League returns this Saturday 23rd September with action packed fights on week 11 at the MTN indoor Arena in Lugogo.

This will see national team boxer Ssemuddu Muzamir renewing his rivalry against Richard Kasujja in the main fight of the night. Ssemuddu eliminated Kasujja to make his way to the Bombers squad that represented the country in the African Boxing Championships.

This left Kasujja unconvinced with the defeat he suffered from their meeting last year, he has vowed to fight for a slot on the Bombers team and a win against his rival Ssemuddu will be key in his dreams.

Speaking to the media, Kasujja expressed his readiness to take on Ssemuddu as he seeks for revenge.

“I am ready and prepared to fight and defeat Ssemuddu, I have had enough preparations during my job here in lufula. For him he has been carrying dumbbells and working out in the gym but for me I have been carrying heavy bulls and cows.” Said Kasujja.

Ssemuddu who carries a massive crowd of support from the areas of Kalerwe alongside musician John Black, he responded to Kasujja as he vowed to break his Jaw which will a lesson for him to learn from.

“This time there is no more play, we are taking over. Let Kasujja come prepared with his jaw, I am so determined to break his jaw. He is lying to himself that he can fight me but I am breaking his jaw this time round.” Said Ssemuddu Muzamir

Speaking on his appearance on the national team, Ssemuddu boldsaid that he deserved a spot on the Bombers team.

“I deserved to a spot on the Bombers team, for Kasujja who says they I I didn’t deserve to be on that team, that’s his own opinion but nobody calls himself on the national team without putting up the needed performances. I am now going to teach him why I am on the Bombers team.” Said Ssemuddu.

The same night will also see Nkobeza Yusuf return to the ring as will be up against Alfred Ojok in the Elite Middle weight.
