KCCA FC 3-2 Abu Salim – St Mary’s Kitende.

KCCA FC saw themselves out of CAF Confederation Cup 2023/2024 despite 3-2 win over Libya’s Abu Salim.

KCCA FC came into the game needing a two goal win but couldn’t withstand Abu Salem’s attacking threat.

They conceded two goals which again worsened their condition.

KCCA FC lost the first game while in Tunisia on a 3-1 score and therefore were eliminated on a 5-4 score.

KCCA FC started a better side dominating and creating scoring chances, this later paid off in the 18th minute when Mohammed Shaban tapped tapped in a spilled ball from Abu Salem’s goalkeeper.

Abu Salim equalized matters in the 69th minute through a penalty kick following a foul of James Mubeezi.

Aleiyan took the responsibility and gave the visitors life back.

Second half substitute Usama Arafat headed in the 84th minute thanks to Gui’s cross.

KCCA FC’S lead couldn’t last as two minutes later Abu Salem equalised through Elghadi.

Usama scored the third for KCCA FC in the 90th minute though wasn’t enough to advance his side through.

The results mean KCCA FC won’t again play continental football, they had last participated in 2018.

The Kasasiro boys will now shift focus to domestic league, on Tuesday they will play Maroons at MTN Omondi Stadium.
